Avina & Waltz Family at Venice Beach {Family Session- Los Angeles, CA}

I have to start this post by just making an announcement:  Jenny is possibly one of the funniest girls I know.

I mean really.

And when I got the chance to photograph her family I was SUPER excited!  My only wish is that I had more of a chance to hang out with them!  Who knew most of my Los Angeles trip would be eaten up by traffic?

I met Jenny is high school, she actually tutored me in geometry because she was good at it and I wasn't.   I'm more of an algebra girl but whatever.

We also were on the cheerleading squad together.  I'm going to say that without being ashamed, cheerleading was awesome!

Jenny rocks and I haven't seen her in FOREVER, really since my baby shower over five years ago.  We planned an urban session in Venice Beach with her and her cute kids as well as her sister and her sister's son.  And you see that cute bump her sister has?  There are TWINS in there!  Sooo exciting!

Oh and you want to talk about not seeing people in forever?  Jenny's sister? Haven't seen Lauryn since she took gymnastics as a KID.

WOW.

Okay, I'll stop reminiscing and embarrassing their entire family.  I just wanted to let the world know that you guys are awesome!

Traveling Sessions- Ament Family in California {Family Photography- Los Angeles, CA}

I flew to California early May to shoot a few family portrait sessions in Los Angeles.  I was soooo excited to get there and see old friends and do the thing I have the most fun doing- taking pictures of amazing families.

I met the Ament Family when I was 17 years old and I have not seen them in over TEN years!  Last I saw them, we played Pretty, Pretty Princess in their living room where Dad won the crown.

Their kids were cuties as kids and grew into beautiful adults.

Mom and Dad haven't aged at all. (Tell me your secret!!!)

And I had so much fun being able to photograph them together!

Meet the Ament Family:

Spring Mini Sessions! {Family Photography- Golden, CO}

We had a two beautiful days for mini-sessions in April.    I was hoping that things would green up around the end of April but that was not the case this year.  I mean, it's late May and things are just starting to turn green over here, holy moly late Spring!  So instead of meeting somewhere flowers were blooming (California?), we met at Heritage Square in Golden and had a blast.

Gabriel is SIX months old!!! {Family Photography- Denver, CO}

Oh man, I'm so in love with this session!  Mom contacted me almost a year ago regarding newborn images for the little boy in her belly!  After a generous gift of a newborn session from a family member, we scheduled a six month session.    Six months later, I was SO excited to meet Gabriel since almost a year has passed since I first had contact with Mom!   We had the family session in their house where the light was AMAZING!!!   Gabriel was all smiles and such a cutie!  Dad and Gabriel wore fun shirts with matching flowered cuffs that I just adored.  Mom and Dad were amazing and I had such a fun time at their six month portrait session.  A huge thanks to Mom for allowing me to capture this great time in their life!
